The kind of neck and shoulder pain that comes with getting older tends to shift over time, some weeks worse, some better. Most pillows are built around one fixed setting and just hope it still fits.
For as long as I can remember, my grandma has dealt with the same stiffness in her neck and shoulders.
Not from any one thing, no accident, no fall she could point to.
Just something that crept in over the years, the way it does for a lot of people as they get older.
I remember her at breakfast, rolling her neck before she'd even picked up her cup, like she was testing how bad the day was going to be.
I never thought much of it growing up. I just assumed that was part of getting older, something everyone eventually deals with and quietly works around.
Once I actually started looking into it, I realized it wasn't just her.
People who'd waited a full year or more before even trying to find something different, not because the pain was new, but because they'd stopped expecting anything to actually help.
People stuck in the same pattern, the same fixed setting on the same old pillow, for years, wondering why something that used to work well enough had quietly stopped being enough.
So we looked closer at what most pillows actually offer. Almost all of them, one height, one firmness, set at the factory, done.

I'm not going to tell you this will do for you what it did for her, and I'm not going to tell you a pillow undoes getting older, it doesn't, anyone who tells you otherwise isn't being straight with you.
